St. Sabina/St. Ferdinand
An Invitation for Non-Practicing Catholics
Were you raised Catholic but do not or seldom come to Church? Are you a Catholic who now feels separated from your Church? Would you like to know more about the Church as it is today?
No matter how long you've been away or for whatever reason, we invite you to reconsider renewing your relationship with Jesus and the Catholic Church. Please join us for any or all of the six sessions and an update of the Catholic Christian faith. St. Sabina and St. Ferdinand are jointly offering the following sessions on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
| September 28 | Welcome, Overview, Fr. McKee Video -- Returning Catholics: Why They Leave/Why They Return, discussion and sharing. |
| October 5 | Church History and Vatican II -- explanation of major changes, mass in English, involvement of the laity, bible study. |
| October 12 | Explanation of the Sacrament of Reconciliation |
| October 19 | Explanation of the Mass |
| October 26 | Explanation of the Eucharist |
| November 2 | No Meeting (Election Day) |
| November 9 | Why Prayer? -- discussion and wrap up |
The sessions will be held at St. Ferdinand Parish Duchesne Center, 1765 Charbonier. Each session will last approximately 1-1/2 hours. Please call Tom Schultz at 831-6381 or Larry Grady at 831-7378 for more information. Free babysitting is available.
